MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL

Rangapara College has long been a beacon of learning for rural Assam. Since its founding in 1979, the College has been committed to advancing education for economically and socially disadvantaged students, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals prepared for both national and global challenges. With a sprawling 40.33-acre campus, the College is equipped with modern infrastructure designed to foster the holistic development of its students.

Since joining the institution in 2018, I have worked diligently to enhance the resources available to our students, ensuring that they are well-prepared for the future. In 2020-21, we introduced the Science stream, offering Honours and Regular courses across a range of subjects in Science, Arts, and Commerce. In addition, we launched a PG course in Hindi, further expanding the academic offerings of the College.

Our core mission is to provide a high-quality academic environment that motivates students to become not only successful professionals but also socially responsible citizens. The College is home to state-of-the-art infrastructure, including well-equipped science laboratories, an automated library, a gymnasium, an indoor sports complex, a spacious auditorium, a canteen, a college mart, a conference hall, and a digital seminar hall with modern amenities. Security is a top priority, with surveillance cameras installed throughout the campus and a team of security guards ensuring a safe environment for all.

For outstation students, we offer well-furnished and affordable hostel facilities for both girls and boys, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in campus life.

As we enter a new era in education with the implementation of the National Education Policy in 2023-24, we are ready to adapt to the changing landscape and provide students with the education they need to thrive in today's world.

The Covid-19 pandemic has presented significant challenges, confining students to their homes and forcing us to rethink how we deliver education. Despite these challenges, we have continued to provide learning opportunities through online classes, interactive sessions, tutorials, and video lectures. In addition, we have organized national and international webinars and workshops to keep our students engaged and connected.

I am confident that humanity will overcome these difficult times, and our students will rise to the occasion, using this challenging environment as an opportunity to enrich their knowledge and build a brighter future.
