RTI: CPIO and Appellate Authority
Rangapara College, as a public institution, is dedicated to maintaining transparency and accountability in all its operations. In line with the provisions of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, the college has appointed designated officials to handle RTI requests from citizens.
Central Public Information Officer (CPIO)
The Central Public Information Officer (CPIO) is responsible for receiving and processing all RTI requests. The CPIO will assist applicants by providing information that is publicly available and guide them on how to request information that may not be immediately accessible.

The CPIO is required to respond to RTI requests within 30 days of receiving the application. If the information requested pertains to life or liberty, the CPIO will respond within 48 hours.
Appellate Authority
If an applicant is dissatisfied with the response provided by the CPIO, they have the right to appeal to the Appellate Authority. The Appellate Authority will review the appeal and ensure that the information is provided in compliance with the RTI Act.

The Appellate Authority will address the appeal and provide a response within 30 days from the date of receipt of the appeal. If the issue is not resolved, the applicant may further appeal to the State Information Commission.
